On Thursday, August 10, 2006 the people of Las Vegas will be protesting a new ordinance that outlaws sharing food with indigents in our public city parks. Bill No. 2006-37 was unanomously passed on July 19, 2006 by the LV City Council.

In a post-9/11 world, where the Bush Administration seems to be unrelentlessly attacking one group of people after another, it is time for Americans to stand up for what is right.
Food not Bombs is against violence, repression by the state, and all militarism. Monies being sent to Iraq and around the world should be put into our local communities to feed, clothe, and shelter the poor, homeless, and mentally-ill.
World, the Time has Come.
Think Globally, but Act Locally. And, DO IT NOW!
