A Quick Note Or Two
by Donald Rilea

Was at both the counter-Inaugural and the afternoon demo at the Las Vegas sign.
The first demo was quite peaceful, even with all the coppies about, watching like so many buzzards.
Personally, I hope they were VERY, VERY Bored.
Second demo, there were about 5-6 people there, including Lisa Rose, Saab Lofton, Joltin' Joe Sacco, and Yours Truly. Lasted about 30-45 minutes.
Got a few raised middle fingers, curses, and insults from some drivers passing by, as well as two brief demos of support from two seperate tour groups who pulled over and briefly helped out with the demo, Bless Their Ever-Lovin' Hearts, and a number of approving horn-honks from drivers who supported us.
The worst incident of the day took place during the demo when some dumb schmuck threw a can of Mountain Dew out of his car at one of us, and hit him with it, slightly injuring him.
Where was Metro??? Busy watching us, but they did nothing to the schmuck, didn't even pull 'im over.
Quel fucking surprise, in my view.
Still, what a bunch of clowns.
Anyway, we pulled out at 3:15 PM, and went our separate ways.
I, as some of you already know, decided to stay home and leave the 6:00 PM demo to other, more capable hands.
That's more or less it from my point of view.
The rest of you who were any of the demos, come on down and speak up with your stories about 'em.
