A big thank you goes out to the individual who shot these videos and then put them on LV Indymedia.

Also, thanks to the Indymedia staff for centering this news. I hope more people will create videos to share online with the whole world watching...

your vidz
by jp Saturday January 21, 2006 at 01:12 AM

hello there, nice vidz! i just wanted to mention that ur vidz are a bit data intensive. it seems to me that u could lower the video quality to the point where they more like 4 or 5 megs of data and still keep them viewable! i'm on a farily fast connection and they still took a few minutes to dwnld. for folks on dialup they would take an hour or more! i would suggest that u change the settings in ur vid editor to keep ur vidz for posting on the net to no more than 5 or so megs. u can still make a high quality vid for ur archives. if they r only a couple of minutes in length it would easier on the servers resources. and ur vidz would be more accessable to more people online if they used less data. keep up the good work!
peace, jp

Hey JP,
If you know how to compress 20mb files to 5mb, then post instructions on the imc site so other people and I could do it. I didn't do that because I don't know how to.
Thnx,

video: AVI at 8.0 mebibytes

The K9 unit came to the park one afternoon to make sure we all were "cleaning up after ourselves". And, he would not explain WHY the K9 unit was dispatched to the park.....

Check it out!
